Hi, I'm Elaine - a qualified counsellor based in Witham Essex.
Sometimes life can feel heavy, confusing, or difficult to hold on your own. You may be carrying something painful, facing uncertainty or loss, or simply sensing that something in your life doesn’t feel quite right. Whatever has brought you here, you deserve a space where you can slow down, speak openly, and feel genuinely heard.
Counselling offers the opportunity to pause from the pressures of everyday life and begin to gently make sense of what you’re experiencing. Within a safe and trusting relationship, it can become possible to explore your thoughts and feelings with care and honesty, often bringing a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.
My approach is warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental. I work as an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches so that our work together can be shaped around you as an individual. There is no one-size-fits-all model in therapy — each person brings their own story, and I aim to meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels right for you.
Alongside my general practice, I have undertaken specialist training with The Foundation for Infant Loss and support individuals and families navigating baby and infant loss, miscarriage, pregnancy difficulties, termination, infertility, and the experience of welcoming a rainbow baby. These journeys can be deeply personal and complex, and I offer sensitive, informed support to women, men, LGBTQ+ individuals, and the wider family members who may also be affected.
At the heart of my work is the belief that being truly listened to — without judgement or expectation — can be quietly powerful. Having a space where you don’t have to carry everything alone can allow understanding, healing and change to unfold over time.
If you’re considering counselling, you’re welcome to get in touch. Whether you arrive with something clearly defined or simply a sense that something in your life needs attention, we can begin there — at your pace.

Online therapy sessions are also available via Zoom, providing an accessible and flexible option if travelling isn’t possible or doesn’t feel right for you
I currently work with adult individuals (18+). Sessions last 50 minutes, usually take place weekly, and cost £50 per session.
I offer an initial free 15–20 minute telephone call, which gives us the opportunity to talk about what you’re hoping to bring to therapy and for you to ask any questions you may have.
There is no obligation to continue — it’s simply a chance to see whether working together feels right for you.
If you decide you would like to go ahead, you are welcome to book a session and we can begin exploring what has brought you to counselling at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on what feels right for you. If you would like to book a block of sessions in advance, I offer a 10% discount when booking six sessions together.
I also have a limited number of concessionary spaces for those on a low income — please contact me if you’d like to discuss this further.
If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, you’re very welcome to arrange an initial call and take it from there.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how therapy works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to therapy, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07749023002 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
